Concord Historic Site is the host for this year’s event\, a former tobacco plantation-turned-center of African American resilience and legacy. Join us under the light of the harvest moon to reflect on the skills and traditions that enabled African Americans to find their way in the natural environment. \n\n\n\nThe evening will feature hands-on educational activities\, a panel of acclaimed speakers\, and intimate fireside conversations centering Concord’s evolving interpretation of Black history\, land stewardship\, and community legacy. \n\n\n\nExtend your stay with a contemplative and commemorative camping experience led by Outdoor Afro! Our Outdoor Afro leaders will be on site to help you find a good location\, pitch your tent\, and answer any other questions for beginner and experienced campers alike. \n\n\n\nWill there be food? \n\n\n\nYes\, dinner will be provided to all participants while supplies last. Those who choose to stay the night will be served light refreshments in the morning.
