Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month Reception

M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County is excited to invite the public to join in the celebration of Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage Month this year with a collection of live dance, music, and martial arts performances celebrating the diverse heritage and unique contributions of Asian and Pacific Islander communities in the United States. 

The evening’s lineup highlights the diverse traditions of Southeast Asia, China, Korea, India, and the Pacific Islands and features performances by Washington Samulnori, Teen World Dancers, Somapa Thai Dance Company, Meki’s Tamure Polynesian Arts Group, Tai Yim Kung Fu School, and more! Children’s hands-on activities are presented by Arts on a Roll. Best of all, everyone can experience and enjoy these cultural offerings free of charge!
